Wrestling with life, after death

On June 18, 2005, as A.J. looked on, his father, Andrew Detwiler, shot his mother, Suzanne, and then turned the gun toward the boys. Moments later, in self-defense, his brother Corey shot twice at his father, killing him.

horrifying ordeal...but just the same, why did he shoot his father once in the back? i'm not trying to draw menendez comparisons, just curious...

I know, it's a little fishy. And are they not letting anyone talk to Corey to protect his feelings or his version of events? Either way it sounds like Dad needed to go.

The main point I took away from this story is, having guns in the house only makes you less safe.
