Seriously?

Boston officers shoot at suspect who fled stop in stolen SUV
BOSTON --Police fired shots at a man who fled a traffic stop in a stolen sport utility vehicle, drove over a busy downtown sidewalk and then smashed into oncoming cars on one-way street Tuesday, police and witnesses said.

The suspect, whose name was not immediately released, was shot once in the stomach and transported to Massachusetts General Hospital after the noontime chase that ended outside a Registry of Motor Vehicles office and an MBTA subway station, said Boston Police Superintendent Robert Dunford.

Four officers were taken to a local hospital to be examined, but Dunford said, "They're fine."

So many jokes here...were the officers upset? Out of breath? Did they accidentally shoot each other? At least they also brought the guy who was shot in the stomach to the hospital.

I think I heard on the news that a couple of them were in one of the cars that he smashed into, and they only shot him because he started reversing back right at them, trying to run them over...
